March 2010... Annual Charity Poker Run... Another success! Many thanks to our sponsors who donated $3000 worth of prizes which meant everyone went home with something, and to the organizers who worked so hard to make this event as fun and successful as it was! Also a very special thanks to everyone who participated, in the end you raised $795 for the Food Bank Society of Whitehorse!

January 2010 ... Moose spotted on Whitehorse trails... A moose has been seen around Whitehorse lately, so please use caution when using the local trails. See our photo gallery for a photo of said moose!
November 2009 ... KSA on-line photo gallery has been re-constructed! The new layout allows for both faster viewing and more photos. All the original photos are still there, along with new ones which will be added over the coming weeks.
October 2009 ... KSA newsletter now online! Starting with the October 2009 issue, we're going to try having a copy of the current newsletters on our website as well as in print. If this works out, future issues will also be posted on
December 2008 ... Little River Bridge on Dawson Overland Trail refurbished and is now like a new bridge, while retaining the old appearance and feel. Some cable work to be completed in spring. Bridge fixed on Klusha creek near Braeburn end in September.
November 2008 ... Yukon Government and the KSA sign agreement to designate major portions of Yukon highways as part of Trans Canada Trail system. This agreement allows highway right of way use for recreational trail use and will provide a link for the Tran Canada Trail between communities in the Yukon and the trail in the south until such time we can establish off highway routes in the future.
November 2007... New Mogal Master Drag has arrived and is ready to go grooming. We now have two of these drags to better groom our trails for the new season .
February 2007... Golf Course Warning: We have received a call from Mountain View Golf Course advising that some people are snowmobiling on the golf course this winter. Please Stay Off the local golf courses as riding can cause damage to the tees, fairways, and greens. many problems for both the employees and golfers. Also Snowmobilers can quickly earn a bad reputation if seen riding on the courses. We do not appreciate people damaging our groomed trails and therefore should respect others in their activities as well.
January 2007... Safety Message from Shell Canada People sometimes fuel snowmobiles inside covered trailers or vehicles, which can contain multiple - Fire codes require attendants to observe all fueling activity to ensure safe fuel handling and to intervene enclosed trailer or vehicle. - Gasoline vapours are highly flammable, and if confined inside an enclosed trailer or vehicle, can be ignited by static electricity or other ignition sources. If this happens, customers could be trapped inside - Inhaling gasoline vapours in an enclosed space is a health hazard.
